Robert Plant says: “Radiohead sucks” Wednesday, Jan 23 2008 

Led Zeppelin’s vocalist, Robert Plant, made agressive comments about the alt-rock band Radiohead.

The 59-year-old singer was in a pub in London when a song started playing. He didn’t recognized the song. When a friend said it was a Radiohead song, he said that the song was “just some trash with rhymes”.

Plant also made negative comments about the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Led Zeppelin will perform in London Thursday, Dec 6 2007 

The heavily expected Led Zeppelin concert, that will happen on December 10, 2007, in London, will have approximately two hours.

The band wanted to make a forty-minute show, but they realized that this wouldn’t be possible.

Guitarist Jimmy Page stated that the show won’t last for more than two hours. “It’s impossible for me to play around three hours”, he said. “It would be like running against a windstorm. I no longer have so much energy. But I have enough energy to play a two-hour setlist”, Page stated.

Led’s concert in London will happen in December 10, 2007

U2 is working on new songs influenced by trance music and metal Thursday, Dec 6 2007 

Irish rock band U2 is preparing a new album. As said by the site Blitz, the musicians are in Southern France, working on new songs.

Bono stated that this album will be completely different from U2′s previous album How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. The vocalist also said that their music will incorporate influences from trance music, metal and Moroccan music.

“There is some trance music influence. But Edge is betting in a heavier sound. Really heavy metal. It doesn’t sound like something we’ve already done. It doesn’t sound like something anybody has already done” – Bono said.

The band has not talked about the release date.

Judas Priest announces a new tour Tuesday, Nov 27 2007 

The British heavy metal band Judas Priest announced a new tour, that will start in June 2008.

“The Judas Priest machine will be back next year”, the musicians posted in their site.

The band also said that more tour dates will be posted in their site, and that, only if they had been posted in their site, the informations will be considered true.

Rammstein is preparing their “heaviest album ever” Friday, Nov 16 2007 

The German band Rammstein revealed that they are working on a new disc. Guitarist Paul Landers said that the group is writing new songs.

Although they wrote more than thirty songs, they still trying to write more.

“This album will be heavier than our earlier works” – said Landers to the website Gauntlet – “I think that the whole agressiveness can be positive. Everything will be down-to-earth. This album can easily be our heaviest album ever. Our two latest albums were sweeter.”

The album`s release date is unknown.

Soulfly will record a new album Thursday, Oct 25 2007 

Soulfly will release a new album in next year. The band started the recordings on September, in Florida.While the new work is being produced, Soulfly’s leader, Max Cavalera, is traveling by Egypt and Siberia. During the trip, Max will work in recordings that will be included in the album.

Max will return, and then, continue the recordings. They are expected to end on December.

Coldplay affirms that their new album is almost ready for release Wednesday, Oct 17 2007 

Coldplay is concluding the production of their new album. The successor of X&Y (released in 2005) will be released in 2008.

With songs shorter than other Coldplay songs, the band also announced that the album will have nine tracks. Still unnamed, the album was recorded in Barcelona, Spain and will have some characteristics of latin music.

The album is being produced by Jon Hopkins and the Scottish producer King Creosote.

Linkin Park’s vocalist falls during concert and breaks his arm Wednesday, Oct 17 2007 

During Linkin Park’s concert in Melbourne, Australia, LP’s vocalist, Chester Bennington, broke his arm.
In enthusiasm, Bennington climbed the stage’s stairs to jump. When he jumped, his foot stuck in a step, and he lost his balance and fell on top of his right wrist.

The intense pain forced Bennington to get out from the stage, and he was attended in the backstage. During the treatment, the singer informed the crowd what was happening. “It’s broken and it will continue broken in the next hour”, he said.

Although the pain was intense, Bennington went back to the stage and received applause.

After five years on hiatus, Sex Pistols will return Friday, Sep 21 2007 

Sex Pistols annouced this week that they will return – again. The band scheduled a concert on November 8th in London, at Brixton Academy.

Sex Pistols’ frontman, John Lydon, explains why they’ve choosed London for realizing the concert: “Maybe because we’re from London, but Sex Pistols wouldn’t be the same without the good and old London”, he said. From London Bridge to The Rose and Crown, everyone will be welcome if they’ll be there.”

The group haven’t met at the stages since 2002. Sex Pistols was one of the main acts of the punk revolution, in the ’70s.
